The Latvian National Museum of Literature and Music (hereinafter – the Museum) is a direct administrative institution under the authority of the Minister of Culture, operating in accordance with the Museum Law, the Regulations of the Latvian National Museum of Literature and Music, and other regulatory enactments.
The Museum’s mission is to inspire a contemporary understanding of the national literary and musical heritage and to promote the perception of the museum as a space for new experiences and meaningful conversations.
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain to you the purposes for which the Museum collects your personal data, the scope of such collection, its protection, the data processing period, and your rights as a data subject at the time of collection and during processing.
The Museum’s Privacy Policy applies to every natural person whose personal data is processed by the Museum, and it is applicable to the processing of personal data regardless of the form in which you or any other natural person have provided the personal data: electronically, in paper format, or in any other way.
When processing personal data, the Museum complies with the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Latvia, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), as well as other regulatory enactments in the field of privacy and personal data processing.
